I was born and raised in a magic town, in a magic time. [One Tree Hill 2003-2012]

In your life, you’re going to go to some great places, and you’re going to do some wonderful things, but no matter where you go, or who you become, this place will always be with you. There is one Tree Hill, and it’s your home.

She wandered aimlessly, but she didn’t seem to see

She was listening for the angels just like me

DON’T FUCKING CRY

I have a feeling it’s gonna take me a long time to not cry at this scene.

This scene was perfect. Everything about it. The sadness, and so, so much hope and everything Chuck said…just… One of the greatest things about Chuck as a character is that he doesn’t just claim to be a good guy.

He IS a good guy, and while he changes and grows in the five seasons we spend with him, he remains, at his heart, a truly good person.

The reason that this scene is so affecting is that he’s ready to let her go in the beginning of it. It hurts so badly, because we know how much he loves her. She means the world to him, but he knows that the way things are, if she wants/needs to go, he can’t keep her, and he doesn’t try. He can’t force something that doesn’t seem to be there.

Except for once in his brainy life, Chuck is wrong.

And that’s really when the tears come. When Sarah asks to hear their story, and then when they kiss, and you know things will be okay. You don’t know how they will, but you know. They’re not just tears of sad. They’re tears of relief.
